Reps Frown at the Killing 13 Passengers Going For a Wedding

The House of Representatives has condemned the brutal killing of 13 persons traveling from Kaduna State to attend a wedding in Plateau State. The resolution followed a motion of urgent national importance moved by Hon. Sadiq Abdulahi.
The House directed the adhoc committee on the Plateau crisis to investigate the incident and report back for further legislative action. In a related development, the House also mandated the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) to appear before its Committee on Healthcare Services.
This followed a motion by Hon Billy Osawaru who raised concerns over the persistent challenges facing the national health insurance scheme, despite sustained government efforts to improve healthcare service delivery for workers in both the public and private sectors.
